The Battle Electric

I don't know about you, but these days it's getting more and more difficult to pay the bills. For me, the most nauseating bill I have to pay is my electric bill. Especially in the summer. I'm always dreading the day that I log on to my computer and receive that e-mail, letting me know that my electric bill is ready. And I always know approximately what day that will be because I know my billing cycle. Still, it always is a little startling when I'm logging on to my computer with my morning cup of coffee and I get that extra jolt when I see the e-mail from my good friends at the electric company. With a groan and fingers crossed, I open the e-mail, only to discover that my frugalness has been rewarded with yet another three-figure electric bill.

Are you tired of this? I am. That's one of the reasons I have decided to start this blog. I want to let people know what is out there in the world of energy-saving ideas and techniques. Some of these ways may be small, such as purchasing or downloading booklets to show you ways to save energy not only in your home but in your workplace. Others may be more complex and require a little DIY; but to me, there is a lot out there worth trying.

One of the more challenging ways to save electricity is by creating your own by means of solar and/or wind. While these certainly take more time they will, in the long run, save you more money. To learn more about this exciting new way of not only saving money on your electric bill but also creating a cleaner envirnoment you can click onto these sites:

These websites will help you to build your own solar and/or wind power generator with easy, step-by-step instructions at a very affordable price. So if you are the kind of person who has the time and energy, these sites are for you.

If you would like to learn about alternatives other than solar or wind (although this site does include them) I recommend "Living Off Grid". This is a comprehensive site designed for the person that would like to live in a more self-reliant environmentally friendly manner. In it you can find everything from gardening to biodiesel and everything inbetween. http://stacyoh.offgrid07.hop.clickbank.net/

But what if you are not the do-it-yourself type? Are you the kind of person that bristles at the thought of even having to follow the directions on a safety cap? Or that 'manual' is just a boy's name? Not a problem; there are several websites that already have pre-made solar panels to fit your specific needs. And not only that, these websites also include some of the latest in solar technology that go beyond panels from phone and laptop battery chargers to solar powered mp3 players!!!
